Last Day of Kindergarten.....

Ahhh......another big moment. The last day of Aubrey's Kindergarten year.....I cried just as much the last day as I did the first day I think!! It has been a truly amazing year. I still marvel everyday at how much Aubrey learned from the beginning to the end. She couldn't read at all when started and left school this year reading on a first grade level! Her school and teachers are absolutely amazing and I am so proud of how hard she has worked this year. She has such enthusiasm and is just so excited to be there and to enjoy every day.

We are so proud of you Aubrey for all you have accomplished, and for how we've seen you grow this year! We love you so much.

Here's to an awesome summer and to our big soon-to-be first grader!!!

This year Aubrey took Jazz.......their dance recital was to a Prince song and they were just so darn cute!! She had alot of fun but isn't oh so sure she wants to keep dancing next year......her first love is still horses and she really wants to take riding lessons! So we'll see.....but she was so precious up there dancing! Her teacher asked for "big hair" so that was NOT a problem for us.....

MBCA - Night of the Arts

Every year, at the end of the school year, Aubrey's school does a "Night of the Arts" program where they have a music performance and also showcase their artwork from the school year. I was able to assist the music teacher and help her with a little "choreography" for the songs they were singing. It was a Disney night so it was right up my alley!! They were so precious, sang so well, and we were truly blown away by the artwork. Aubrey is so blessed to go to a school where they value the arts and have extremely talented teachers who share their passions with these children. We had such a fun night!!

Kindergarten field trip to the Atlanta Zoo....

Ms. Meara's Kindergarten Class Zoo Field Trip!!

I was lucky enough to get to chaperone Aubrey's school field trip to the zoo this year! I had Aubrey and 2 other little girls and we had a blast. The kids are all so sweet, so well behaved and we had so much fun seeing all the animals!! It was a perfect, cool/crisp spring day and I of course went picture crazy! These are just a few pics of the kids but I did some practicing and got some fun pics of some of the animals too.

Aubrey and the ACSI Art Festival!!!

I was so happy and so proud to accompany Aubrey to the ACSI Art Festival where her art work was chosen to be displayed and judged. There were over 300 pieces of art submitted for consideration from her school and she was one of 29 that were chosen! In the end she got a "Superior" Blue ribbon. We are sooo proud of you Aubrey and your beautiful talent!

Aubrey looves to paint and create and has the most vivid and beautiful imagination.

She asks me all the time if art is her "true talent". I tell her I think she is talented in many, many ways and art is definitely one of those gifts.
